GTA 5 takes place in the fictional state of San Andreas, the prototype of which was Southern California. In single player mode the plot is built around the adventures of three robbers, organizing increasingly brazen robberies and confronting both organized crime and law enforcement agencies. The player can select to control the character in the first-person or third-person mode. The selected character can freely move around the vast game world, both on foot and by car and other means of transport. Comparing to other games in the series, GTA V features the opportunity to switch between characters at any time, both during the execution of tasks and outside of them. Most of the game tasks are related to robberies and car thefts; in this case, the game character may participate in skirmishes and pursuits. GTA Online is a built-in multiplayer online mode that supports up to 30 players at the same time - they are offered both joint and competitive tasks.
